Challenge One
This fashion is made of organza ribbon of different widths, textures, and tones. The color scheme is ivory and taupe, with silver accents. I hand dyed some of the ribbon in tea to get an "antique" look. I hoped to create something feathery and whispy, with a touch of fairy/goddess elegance. To give it some interesting shape, I slightly bustled it around the hips and buttocks.

Challenge Two
It took some real digging for me to get some inspiration for this challenge. It wasn’t until I concentrated my studies on Parisian specific fashions of that era that I began to see things I loved. I tried to keep the lines of this outfit very simple. The ’70’s was a decade of huge swings in fashion, but for at least a few of those years, border prints were all the rage. I chose silk border printed fabric in tones of blues, gray, beige, yellow and rose. I lined the pants in off white poly blend. The skirting is split front, and intended to be worn with the pants only, not alone. However, the outfit can be worn minus the skirt, as I’ve shown in one of my set photos. The top is made of shades of super sheer stretch taupe, wrapped and overlapped, with a soft pink stretch lining. Some of the wrapping has been hand painted (with fabric dye) in soft pink. The head wrap is made of the same sheer taupe, and I accented the fashion with an oversized bauble bracelet in antique gold.
