Challenge One

For this theme, a pair of shoes you see was very obvious to me. These have a turn of the century feel with the gently curved heel of moderate height, and a sophisticated pattern of two colors and thin strap. Perfect for a goth who wants to accent not only the darkness but also the danger lurking inside that darkness.
The outfit that is accompanying the shoes is a hand-sewn set of shiny corset with sultry neckline and flower-ornamented skirt. A skirt is contemporary interpretation of Edwardian era's S-line silhouette, accented with embossed velvet flowers. Chains of many sorts are jewelery of this lone soul.

Challenge Two

The Snow Queen has got tired of searching for all the pieces of mirror, and holding the winter all over the country. She decided to conquer the world with economics. But she needed a new identity and look for this purpose. After freezing a couple of designer's, who's designs didn't appeal to her, she chose her new outfit - all in tones of snow. It has glistening sparkles - just like snow in the morning sun - from the silver thread in the vest of whirling tassels, to her trademark feature - the standing collar. For modern day use, it was converted to a halter style by the off-shoulder, pure white dress that she wears with the vest. White high heels, and hair tied tightly in the back compliment the look, and leave no doubt that you're standing in front of a woman of power, who has certain plans behind running her company to the top spot in rankings.

Challenge Three

This challenge was a hard thing to do for me, being so much anchored among the 1950's aesthetics with it's color-keyed and precisely tailored fashions. I've decided to go the re-construct way, since offering torn garments was already dubbed as overused in the discussion regarding this task. To make it a little bit familiar to myself, I've decided to rebuild classic silhouettes of the 1950's fashions. Therefore, we've got a tailored, femenine jacket, a sheer pencil skirt and a delicate blouse. Each of these are made of synthetic fiber fabrics, to stay more true to the postwar belief in the power of industry to make lifes easier with new products.

Overall, the outfit I'm presenting is a product straight out of mad seamstress' dream. The skirt was slashed in half, one part used in traditional way, one converted to a sleeveless top, accompanying the lonely half of a jacket. One of the sleeves was also sewn in the common place - altough partially - the other one is remade into one pantleg.Remains of a petticoat help to cover what needs to be hidden. Since I'm using synthetic fibres, I've decided on burn marks instead of rips, which are applied diagonally on the bottom half of the skirt. One of the requirements of the deconstruction - having the fashion tied - is fullfilled with the wrap-around tie by the waist.
The model is wearing cut-out ankle high sandals and features a tie between the 1960's and 1980's in form of wild updo on her head.

Challenge Four

Thinking about the details made me think about building up the classic everyday ensemble of a jacket accompanied by suit and a blouse. The traditional suit was turned to a composition of chocolate brown overlay with white underside. The jacket corresponds with the skirt, while retaining the possibility of being used as a separate. Pencil skirt is covered with the mentioned chocolate brown toulle and features intricating pointed hem, accented with velvet ribbons. The same ribbons form innovative horizontal accent in the back. It's also accented with a leather belt in matching color tonation. The tailored jacket, while being uniformly white, breaks with the stiff appearance with it's simple, rounded neckline and sheer sleeves made of the same toulle as on skirt. It also repeats the accent put on hem by a velvet trim. A brooch with a flower helps to add some innocent charm. The ensemble is completed by a pale cream blouse to throw in some warmer colors, a purse carrying over the overlay theme, and a pair of black high heel sandals. It gives us universal outfit from attending a board meeting at work, through an afternoon stroll at 5th Avenue, to an evening date by the candles.
