Challenge Four - Contestant 20
For this challenge, I created a Red Carpet look fit for any Oscar Winner. When I think of Rococo, I think of gold embellishment, soft colors and sensual luxurious fabrics. I took inspiration from large scale elements, such as Panniers. I didn't want to be too literal, so I chose to give mass to the gown at the hip with frothy skirts of silk chiffon in shades of green. I wanted to contrast the soft flow of the chiffon with a body hugging simple column of sheer nude tulle embellished with scattered gold sequins over a sage green silk charmeuse underskirt. I bridged the two textures together with soft draping at the dropped waist.
